The weekend got away from me completely! I took the train home to spend some time with parents and for an audition and we were so busy! I feel so blessed to be able to spend time with my mom after everything that happened. I’ve so glad we made the decision to have our wedding when we are, because it seems like she’s ready to be a part of the planning process now.
I’ve had this post idea brewing in the back of my mind since I started this page! I was browsing Barnes and Noble last week and then had a display of “Page to Screen” books and it seemed like the perfect time to share!
Crazy Rich Asians
I’m pretty sure this is the only book I’ve ever read where I preferred the movie! If you’ve read the book, I know it’s a struggle to get through. Books 2 and 3 are MUCH better but the movie is a delight!
The Help
I love love LOVE this book. I don’t like the changes the movie made or what they eliminated, but it is one of those movies I will always stop channel surfing to watch.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
I like all the Harry Potter movies, it’s a great way to get my Hogwarts fix if I’m in the mood but don’t have the time (or room in my bag) to reread the books. I think the first one does the best job of staying true to the story. I do love Deathly Hallows Parts 1 and 2 for it’s book to screen integrity!
Do you like when your favorite books are made into movies or shows? I love what HBO did with Big Little Lies and I hope more books take that route!
