I had a review scheduled for today but I didn’t finish what I planned on finishing…I guess reading 600 pages while sick was a lofty goal. So I thought I’d just pop on here and update you all on what I’m currently reading: My Oxford Year by Julia Whelan. 

Okay, just think I’m dumb…but I thought this was a memoir (lol). I’m not mad that it’s fiction, but I started reading it and was really confused. Once I clued in, I really started enjoying it. 

I love the use of poetry and I’m already living for the dialogue. When Ella looks at Jamie and says, “Dr. Davenport” and his response is “Sexy, innit?” I just about swooned on the subway. It seems like such a fun read and I’m glad to have gotten it from the library!

I am now nearly 500 pages into it and it has taken a TURN. Like, my heart is broken. I love Jamie and Ella so much.

I’m reading it through Overdrive and I love it, but more and more I’ve been wishing for physical copies of the books I’m reading. But living in a tiny NYC apartment doesn’t really allow for that unfortunately! And my wallet prefers the library and ebooks as well.
